American-born workers see significant increase in jobs as foreign-born labor takes sharp drop

Thanks to the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, the number of foreign-born workers has decreased while the number of U.S.-born workers has conversely increased.

“The Labor Department’s jobs report for the month of June showed that the number of foreign-born workers declined by 348,000 from May — while the number of foreign-born workers has declined by more than 543,000 jobs since January,” Fox Business Network has confirmed.

“By contrast, the number of U.S.-born workers increased by 830,000 from May to June, and is also over 2 million higher than when the second Trump administration began in January,” the network reported on Monday.

These numbers mark a turnaround from the Biden administration, when foreign-born workers were ascendant. In fact, they gained a whopping 1.025 million jobs last year alone.

The Trump White House celebrated the latest numbers in a statement to the press.

“For the FOURTH month in a row, jobs numbers have beat market expectations with nearly 150,000 good jobs created in June,” House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said. “American-born workers have accounted for ALL of the job gains since President Trump took office and wages continue to rise.”

All this is the result of the administration’s fierce crackdown on illegal migration, according to a Bloomberg report filed in June.

“The US labor landscape is being roiled as high-profile workplace raids by immigration agents kitted out in military gear scare off workers who lack permission to be in the country,” the outlet reported.

“Unauthorized immigrants make up an estimated 5% of the US workforce, with the concentration particularly high in construction, food processing, and other areas that face chronic labor shortages,” the report continued.

The crackdown has upset both leftists and business owners who rely on illegal alien “slave” labor.

“If we deported everyone here that’s undocumented and working on farms, in fields, we would starve to death,” Owyhee Produce onion farm CEO Shay Myers told Bloomberg. “We will not feed our people in this country without these workers, plain and simple.”

Critics of the Trump administration have also alleged that not enough Americans are jumping in to replace the outgoing foreign-born workers.

“The real headline from the recent jobs report should be the falling labor force,” labor economist Mark Regets, a senior fellow at the National Foundation for American Policy, warned Forbes. “The data for the last five months indicate a serious fall in the number of immigrant workers.”

“Despite growth in the unadjusted numbers, the U.S.-born labor force participation rate and the overall seasonally adjusted labor force total suggest that the loss of immigrant labor is not bringing more U.S.-born workers into the labor force,” he added.

But Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins isn’t buying this narrative.

“Ignore the noise from the fake news media and the grifters trying to divide us,” she tweeted last month in support of the administration’s immigration crackdown.

“I fully support President Trump’s America First immigration agenda as stated in his campaign, starting with strong border security and deportations of EVERY illegal alien. This agenda is essential to fixing a broken farm-labor economy and restoring integrity to the American workforce,” she added.

Regardless of people’s thoughts, the administration intends to keep moving forward with its crackdown.

“The President has been incredibly clear. There will be no safe spaces for industries who harbor violent criminals or purposely try to undermine ICE’s efforts,” Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told Bloomberg.

“Worksite enforcement remains a cornerstone of our efforts to safeguard public safety, national security, and economic stability,” she added.
