The French are pushing for additional action on the labour black market for asylum seekers as well as the easy provision of benefits which give the UK ‘El Dorado’ status. They also want an easier route for family reunification for asylum seekers who are yet to be processed abroad in one in one out proposals. Starmer will have to prove he can turn those pull factors around…
