Vikings’ Dallas Turner Loses $240,000 In Scam: REPORT

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Dallas Turner was reportedly scammed out of $240,000 back in February in a scheme that was set up by alleged perpetrators who tricked him into thinking they were a part of his bank.

Acting like they were JPMorgan Chase representatives in Arizona, they allegedly made Turner believe a false story regarding withdrawal attempts from his account that were unauthorized. (RELATED: ‘It’s Too Expensive’: Eli Manning Passes Up On Opportunity To Buy Stake Of New York Giants)

Turner ended up wire-transferring a total of $240,000 to the alleged scammers, breaking it up into two accounts with $120,000 put into each one. After he talked with a relative about the situation, that’s when he realized that he was scammed.

Multiple suspects have been identified by police and future arrests are being prepared, per a report from the Minnesota Star Tribune. So far, Turner has only managed to recover $2,400 of the stolen $240,000, marking just 1% of that figure.

Turner notified the police about the scheme in April, leading officials to launch an investigation into several suspects, according to a report from NJ.com.

Neither Turner or the Vikings have publicly commented on the situation.

A first-round pick by Minnesota, Turner racked up 20 total tackles, 3.0 sacks and one interception in his rookie season in 2024.
