Former CNN host Chris Cuomo delivered pointed criticism toward the political left over its muted response to a violent attack on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Texas, questioning whether the left can claim the moral high ground while refusing to denounce violence carried out by its own fringe activists.
Cuomo made the remarks during a recent broadcast, where he addressed the attempted attack by a group of ten individuals who allegedly targeted ICE officers in what authorities have described as a coordinated and armed assault.
Federal officials have confirmed that the suspects are in custody and investigations are ongoing.

“Listen, I got to tell you, if you want to have the fight, I’ll have the fight,” Cuomo said.
“Okay, if you want to try to tell me that you believe that you somehow represent something more pure when, if you’re on the left, you just had 10 young people try to kill ICE officers because their policies suck, because the way they’re doing it is wrong, and this is something you want to get behind and say, Yeah, well, but what? But what? Are you nuts?”
Cuomo directly challenged those on the left who refuse to distance themselves from violent tactics, particularly when they align with their broader political goals.
He expressed frustration that the attack has not prompted the same level of outrage or national attention that would follow similar events involving extremist groups.

“If you want to have a fight, I’m here for it,” he said.
“Okay, because these fringe people on either side you want somebody to take you on, I’m here for it because you’re killing us with your crazy what happened with these kids, these young people. I’m old. Everybody is young to me.”
According to Cuomo, the nature of the operation showed clear signs of premeditation and organization, drawing a stark comparison to tactics used by terrorist organizations.
“This was planned. It was organized. They baited, they picked the date. They were heavily harmed,” Cuomo said.
“I’m telling you, this could just have easily been an ISIS operation, and we would want to kill an entire country again. And yet, now this is no big deal. This is no big deal.”

The incident Cuomo referred to occurred during an ICE operation in Texas, where ten individuals allegedly ambushed agents.
Two federal officers were injured in the attack.
Authorities have stated that the suspects were armed and had coordinated their actions in advance.
Cuomo’s comments come as debate continues over the rhetoric used by politicians and activists surrounding immigration enforcement.
While protests against ICE have become a regular feature in Democratic-led cities, attacks on agents have been rare but increasingly concerning to federal authorities.
Homeland Security officials have not confirmed any ideological affiliations of the suspects involved in the Texas incident, but sources familiar with the investigation have said that evidence suggests the attack was politically motivated.
Cuomo’s remarks mark a rare instance of a high-profile media figure publicly challenging the left on its response to politically motivated violence.
