Millionaires Michelle Obama, Julia Louis-Dreyfus whine about how hard women have it in America

Former first lady Michelle Obama and actress Julia Louis Dreyfus complained on a Wednesday podcast about how difficult it is to be a woman in America.

Democratic strategist James Carville argued on “The People’s Cabinet” Tuesday that Democrats have alienated male voters by seeming to neglect and disrespect them in favor of women. Obama and Dreyfus, on “IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson,” suggested women face unfair disadvantages that men need to recognize.

“Women, we have so many landmines, and barriers, and don’ts, and limitations. I mean, Craig, you’re the guy at the table, but I think it’s important for all guys listening, especially men raising daughters, to realize that difference,” Obama said. “And that thing that in inadvertently, as you are loving and raising these beautiful girls, there are so many rules that make us small.”

“Baked in without our knowing it,” Dreyfus responded. “And I wish I could … I remember people saying, ‘Oh, well she’s a female doctor.’ As opposed to just, ‘She’s a doctor.’”

Carville noted that there are particular tropes about women in American culture that repel men, such as “The future is female,” “You must always believe the woman is never wrong” and “#MeToo.”

“And men are like, ‘Shit, do I count? What about my life? I mean, we’re only 48% of the voting population,’” the Democratic strategist said.

Former Democratic state Sen. Nina Turner of Ohio also claimed on “2WAY TONIGHT” in June that the United States does not hold moral authority over Iran when it comes to women’s rights, particularly expressing opposition to abortion restrictions imposed by male lawmakers.

“I’m very disturbed that you have mainly male legislators who have decided that women cannot control their own bodies. Now, this is not a matter of whether you’re pro-abortion or not, right? I’m pro-choice, I’m not pro-abortion,” she said. “But that male legislators have decided in the United States of America that they’re going to legislate on women’s bodies — I’m very disturbed about that. I’m very disturbed when women lose their healthcare or don’t have enough healthcare or are not making enough money to be able to help their families.”
