U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli announced Friday that the FBI has issued a $50,000 award for information leading to the conviction of “an Unknown Subject who appeared to fire a pistol at Federal Law Enforcement Officers near Camarillo.”
Federal agents descended upon a marijuana farm near Camarillo, which is located just east of Los Angeles, detaining dozens of “farmworkers,” including 10 juveniles in the country illegally — eight of them unaccompanied, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott.
During Thursday’s action, protesters began clashing with law enforcement. Tear gas was deployed to keep the crowd at bay, and at one point, a protester appeared to fire on the agents, according to footage taken by ABC 7.

Given the FBI’s actions in response to the Jan. 6 protest at the U.S. Capitol, will the bureau leave no stone unturned in its pursuit of the alleged gunman? Facial recognition technology was employed to identify J6 protesters, and credit card and debit card transactions were analyzed.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection posted a statement saying the suspect “will face the full force of federal prosecution.”
“On July 10 at approximately 2:26 PM, an unknown individual appeared to fire a pistol at federal law enforcement officers. The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to conviction. The incident occurred on Laguna Rd between Wood Rd and Las Posas Rd near Camarillo. Make no mistake: anyone who targets our agents will face the full force of federal prosecution,” the post said.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
Did any of the surveillance on scene track this guy after he fired shots?
He needs to be locked up.
Set an example.

Like LA car chases, why didn’t @ABC7 ‘s helicopter pilot and cameraman stay on top
of the shooter?— Henry (@HenryBack2Play) July 11, 2025
It’s crazy to me that the cameraman didn’t keep filming this individual. make one wonder what their motive was. Seems to me that their is no useful purpose to have this helicopter over the area.

When someone’s bold enough to open fire on federal agents in broad daylight, it’s not just crime, it’s collapse.
This isn’t just about one shooter. It’s about the system cracking from within.Stay aware. Stay vocal. Stay ready. (@@)

Why didn’t ICE fire back?
They should’ve dropped every single insurgent.

Attacking federal officers is pure domestic terror. This coward must be caught and punished hard. The left’s war on law and order fuels this madness.

Just like they tracked the J6 individuals, FBI needs to have the same energy. Track cell phones and bank records.
