Hmm … what do we have going on here?
Olivia Dunne, an ex-LSU Tigers gymnast and current girlfriend to Pittsburgh Pirates phenom Paul Skenes, recently went on TikTok and revealed a story regarding her being shunned from buying the former New York City apartment of Yankees legend Babe Ruth. Dunne made the claim that she was ready to buy the apartment with $1,595,000 in cold hard cash, but she ended up being denied.
Well, some neighbors who live around there, as well as some who are familiar with how things work at the complex, are claiming that Dunne is being a liar about this situation. Speaking to the New York Post, one individual said her cash offer was irrelevant due to her being too “sparkly” for the neighbors. “I think she’s making a lot of stuff up to get people to feel sorry for her,” said another person who has been employed by the apartment complex.
“Like, she said they were going to give her the keys. No, that’s not true. It doesn’t work like that. It’s extensive, she would actually have to go get interviewed. They would check her out first. She didn’t even do none of that. She had another probably six, seven weeks worth of interviewing and checking her finances and stuff like that. She didn’t even get that far,” per The Post.
A real estate broker in New York is also skeptical of the story Dunne told, posting on social media, “There’s something fishy about this. You don’t get a board denial one week before going to pick up your keys. In fact, the board makes there [sic] decision well before a closing is even scheduled. There’s definitely more to this story.”

I refuse to disrespect the girlfriend of the legendary Paul Skenes, so I’ll just leave the story to y’all, chat.
