Bongino Doing ‘Terrific,’ Trump Says Amid Pam Bondi and Epstein Drama [WATCH]

Calls for Attorney General Pam Bondi’s resignation emerged over the weekend from critics on both sides of the political spectrum following renewed controversy surrounding the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

While left-leaning media and Democratic activists attempted to link President Donald Trump to the late financier, some conservative influencers questioned Bondi’s handling of public communications related to the matter.

The debate intensified after President Trump addressed the issue on Truth Social, expressing support for Attorney General Bondi and stating that the Epstein issue should be considered closed.

“Jeffrey Epstein should be a dead subject,” Trump posted, referring to the financier who died nearly six years ago while in federal custody.

The President did not waver in his endorsement of Bondi, signaling his confidence in her leadership at the Department of Justice.

Reports circulated Friday suggesting tension within the Department of Justice after a statement from the agency reaffirmed that Epstein died by suicide and that there was no “client list” to release.

The announcement drew criticism from observers who had expected further disclosures.

Amid rumors of internal DOJ unrest, speculation surfaced that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and FBI Director Kash Patel might be considering resignation.

However, Patel addressed those reports directly on Saturday, confirming that he has no intention of stepping down.

On Sunday, President Trump was asked about Bongino’s status after returning from the FIFA Club World Cup at Joint Base Andrews.

When questioned by a reporter if Bongino remained in his role, Trump responded, “Oh, I think so. I did, I spoke to him today. Dan Bongino is a very good guy, I’ve known him a long time. I’ve done his show many, many times. And he sounded terrific actually. No, I think he’s in good shape.”

The President’s comments aimed to quiet speculation surrounding the leadership structure of the FBI and DOJ.

As of now, Bongino has not made any public statement regarding his role or the speculation surrounding his status.

The controversy comes amid a broader Department of Homeland Security operation that drew national attention.

On Thursday, ICE agents conducted a large-scale raid at Glass House Farms, a cannabis facility in Camarillo, California.

The operation resulted in the detention of 361 individuals in the country illegally, along with the rescue of 14 unaccompanied minors.

The enforcement action was part of an ongoing federal effort to address labor violations and illegal employment practices.

Despite the Epstein controversy dominating headlines, federal officials have underscored the importance of focusing on present threats and criminal activity.

Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Department of Justice continue to prioritize operations that target transnational crime, human trafficking, and organized labor violations.

The White House has not indicated any change in her status, and no formal investigation or disciplinary action has been announced.

While questions about the Epstein investigation persist among activists and media outlets, DOJ leadership appears to remain intact.

The administration has signaled a clear message: operations will continue, and federal priorities will not be derailed by speculation or pressure campaigns.
