Woke Audience Member Boos Shane Gillis For Joke About Illegal Aliens

A woke audience member couldn’t handle the heat after Shane Gillis delivered a joke about illegal aliens at the 2025 ESPY Awards, Monday.

Among the highlights in Gillis’ monologue was a joke about capturing NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and New York Yankees star Juan Soto, who is from the Dominican Republic. “Joe Rogan actually wanted me to be here to host this award show so that I could capture Adam Silver because Joe thinks he’s an alien,” Gillis quipped. “And Donald Trump wanted me to be here to capture Juan Soto for the same reason.”

The jabs proved to be too much for an audience member on the upper level who voiced his discontent by booing the famous comedian.

Gillis’ kept the hits coming with some edgy jokes about Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s relationship.

“A bookie is what Bill Belichick reads to his girlfriend before bed time,” he said, drawing laughs from the crowd.

“They read ‘The Very Horny Caterpillar,” “The Little Engine That Could But Needed a Pill First” and of course the classic “Goodnight Boobs,” Gillis joked.

He then turned his attention to Caitlin Clark’s ongoing issue with WNBA players on the court.

“When Caitlin Clark retires from the WNBA, she’s going to work at a Waffle House so she can continue doing what she loves most: fist fighting Black women,” Gillis said.

The famous comedian made sure no hot-topic went untouched by veering into jokes about President Donald Trump and the saga surrounding the Epstein files.

“There’s supposed to be an Epstein joke here, but I guess it got deleted. Probably deleted itself, right? Probably never existed, actually. Let’s move on,” he joked. (RELATED: Pete Davidson Reportedly About To Embark On Major Life Change)
