Scott Jennings Asks Why Can’t ‘Weird AF’ Dems ‘Act Like Normal People?’

Scott Jennings appeared Tuesday on CNN’s “NewsNight With Abby Phillip” and called Democrats “weird af [as fuck],” asking why they can’t behave like “normal people” after Democrat Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson posted a song demanding the “Epstein files” be released.

On Monday, Johnson released an “ear candy” video to his X account of his song called “Dreamsicle,” which demanded the remaining files related to deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein be released. As a clip of Johnson’s song played on the CNN show, Jennings reacted to the video, saying the Democrat lawmaker was not a “super genius.”

“Now, some years ago, you might remember that the folk singer on your screen, Hank Johnson, said in a congressional hearing that he was concerned that Guam was going to tip over if too many Marines got on one side of the island,” Jennings said. “So we’re not dealing with a super genius here.”

In 2010, Johnson said during a House Armed Services Committee hearing on the planned military buildup in Guam that his “fear” was the whole island would “tip over and capsize” due to becoming “overly populated.” A spokesman for the lawmaker later said Johnson was concerned about the influx of military personnel and whether it could affect Guam’s infrastructure and ecosystem, according to CBS News. “These Democrats are weird AF. I’m not going to say it like Gavin Newsom did. Newsom, Cuomo, this guy, why can’t they just act like normal people? Making up, you know, forced vulgarity, silly singing in your office. Why can’t they just be normal people?” Jennings asked.

In Johnson’s video, the lawmaker sang about Epstein’s death and asked where the Epstein files are, adding that the Trump administration promised their release.

“Epstein died by suicide, believe that and you must be blind. You’ve been telling us you’ll release the files, but where are they? We’ve gone along with what’s been told,” Johnson sang. “You’ve had plenty of time, you’re in control. But now you say you will withhold the Epstein files. Dreamsicle on a summer night in a folding lawn chair. Trump’s howling at the moon, release the Epstein files soon.”

Calls for the Department of Justice and FBI to be more transparent about the remaining documents related to Epstein ramped up after the DOJ quietly released a memo on July 6. The document, first obtained by Axios, said the FBI’s review found no “client list” and no foul play in Epstein’s death.

Questions quickly circulated after the FBI released more than 10 hours of “raw and enhanced” video showing the outside of Jeffrey Epstein’s cell at the New York Metropolitan Correctional Center on the night of his death in 2019.

During a press briefing on July 8, Attorney General Pam Bondi was asked about a missing minute in the footage. She claimed the gap was due to the facility resetting its cameras every night.

A review from WIRED, released Friday, said the video’s metadata was likely edited.

Bondi faced major backlash for her past comments on Fox News vowing the public would see “a lot of flight logs, a lot of names, a lot, a lot of information.” Some Republicans are now calling for her resignation.

On Saturday, however, President Donald Trump issued a statement on X defending the attorney general and calling on supporters to move on from the Epstein story.

Despite Trump’s statement, a bipartisan group of House lawmakers are still demanding more transparency. Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky introduced a discharge petition Tuesday to force a House vote on fully releasing the Epstein files.
