Welsh Government Hiring ‘Diversity Lead’ for £54,000
Welsh Labour leader Eluned Morgan has been banging on Rachel Reeves’ door for more money, demanding a new funding system so she doesn’t have to “continue to go cap in hand” to Westminster. UK DOGE has been looking into ways she could cut wasteful spending…
The Welsh Government is now hiring a “Diversity, Inclusion & Outreach Lead” on a generous £54,431 a year, coupled with a 28.97% contribution towards their pension. The lucky new recruit will be “championing and embedding inclusive recruitment practices across all stages of the public appointments process” and will “support Ministers and senior leaders, including drafting clear, impactful briefings on diversity.” Whatever that entails…
For £54,431, you could:
- Fill 755 potholes.
- Buy 611 British Army Mk7 Helmets.
- Hire two teaching assistants.
The taxpayer may have a view on which should be prioritised. UK DOGE recommends costs are cut here…
