Coldplay’s Chris Martin Puts Couple on Blast After Kiss Cam Catches Alleged Workplace Affair on the Jumbotron [WATCH]

A moment intended to entertain a concert crowd took an unexpected turn Wednesday night when a “kiss cam” segment at a Coldplay show appeared to expose a possible workplace affair between a tech CEO and his company’s head of human resources, as reported by The New York Post.

The incident occurred at Gillette Stadium near Boston, where Coldplay frontman Chris Martin paused mid-performance to comment on a couple featured on the venue’s jumbotron.

The pair—identified online as Andy Byron, CEO of AI and data analytics firm Astronomer, and the company’s chief human resources officer Kristin Cabot—reacted awkwardly after being put on screen.

TikTok footage from the concert shows Cabot covering her face and turning away while Byron ducked out of view. The crowd laughed at the pair’s reaction before Martin remarked from the stage, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Byron and Cabot, who have worked together since at least November 2024, appeared visibly uncomfortable in the viral video. Byron publicly praised Cabot’s leadership upon her hiring, citing her two decades of HR experience.

Cabot, in turn, previously stated that discussions with Byron had “energized” her to join the $1.2 billion tech company.

The footage quickly gained traction online, with a TikTok video posted by user “Instaagraace” receiving more than 1.3 million likes and several million views as of Thursday morning.

Social media users flooded platforms like X and Instagram with commentary. One Instagram user posted a mock cost breakdown of the incident:

“Cost of a concert: Hotel $200, tickets $600, food/drinks $150, divorce attorney $50,000. Getting exposed by Coldplay having an affair with your co-worker: priceless.”

Speculation intensified after one X user claimed Byron’s wife had removed her married name from her Facebook profile and later deleted her account following a surge of public comments related to the video.

Users on TikTok were quick to conclude that the couple’s behavior confirmed suspicions. “There is no plausible reason why they would act that way unless they were having an affair. Period,” one commenter wrote.

Astronomer did not respond to media inquiries on Thursday. Calls to Byron and Cabot were also not returned.

The company, which is based in Cincinnati and has received backing from multiple investment firms, has yet to issue any internal or public statement about the incident.
