There was violence yesterday in Epping outside The Bell Hotel – used to house migrants – after an asylum seeker charged with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl appeared in court. The use of the hotel to house migrants was opposed by Tory Epping Forest District Council leader Chris Whitbread, who was joined by two local Tory MPs Neil Hudson and Alex Burghart.
