Criminal referrals were incoming for officials at the “highest level” in the Obama administration as Tulsi Gabbard laid out a “treasonous conspiracy” allegedly perpetrated against President Donald Trump.
Transparency from the Director of National Intelligence may be clearing a path for accountability, as Friday, Gabbard declassified a number of documents related to the Russia collusion hoax that had been perpetrated against Trump.
In addition to “new guidance” halting publication of an intelligence community (IC) assessment for the Presidential Daily Brief dispelling the notion of Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election, the DNI contended that in the final weeks of then-President Barack Obama’s administration, he directed IC officials to “create a new intelligence assessment that detailed Russian election meddling, even though it would contradict multiple intelligence assessments” released in the months before.
“Their goal was to usurp President Trump and subvert the will of the American people,” asserted Gabbard on X Friday. “No matter how powerful, every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The integrity of our democratic republic depends on it. We are turning over all documents to the DOJ for criminal referral.”
Affirming the call for accountability, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) shared the DNI’s post and wrote, “DISMANTLING THE DEEP STATE! New evidence from @DNIGabbard confirms what we’ve long known: The Russia hoax was a political hit job manufactured by Obama officials and weaponized by intel agencies to take down President Trump. Accountability is long overdue!”

Among those gathered under the reported directive from Obama were national security officials that included then-DNI James Clapper, along with then-FBI Director James Comey and then-CIA Director John Brennan, both of whom had previously been reported to be under criminal investigation for their actions in connection with the infamous Steele dossier.
Classified details of the new assessment, crafted little over a month before Trump took office, were then said to have been leaked to corporate media outlets like The Washington Post “to advance their falsehoods.”

Fox News Digital obtained a copy of the meeting record that detailed officials “agreed to recommend sanctioning of certain members of the Russian military intelligence and foreign intelligence chains of command responsible for cyber operations as a response to cyber activity that attempted to influence or interfere with U.S. elections, if such activity meets the requirements” of an executive order calling for such actions.
What followed was an IC assessment release on Jan. 6, 2017, that the DNI stated, “directly contradicted the IC assessments that were made throughout the previous six months.”
“The issue I am raising is not a partisan issue. It is one that concerns every American,” expressed Gabbard in a press release that boiled down the timeline. “The information we are releasing today clearly shows there was a treasonous conspiracy in 2016 committed by officials at the highest level of our government.”
Other Obama national security officials named included then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch, then-Secretary of State John Kerry, then-FBI Associate Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and then-National Security Advisor Susan Rice.
“Their goal was to subvert the will of the American people and enact what was essentially a years-long coup with the objective of trying to usurp the President from fulfilling the mandate bestowed upon him by the American people,” asserted Gabbard. “Their egregious abuse of power and blatant rejection of our Constitution threatens the very foundation and integrity of our democratic republic. No matter how powerful, every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.”
“The American people’s faith and trust in our democratic republic and therefore the future of our nation depends on it,” she added before noting the documents would be turned over to the DOJ “to deliver the accountability that President Trump, his family, and the American people deserve.”

As a reminder of the impact the Russia hoax, officials from the Office of the DNI told Fox News Digital that the assessment “based on information that was known by those involved to be manufactured i.e. the Steele Dossier or deemed as not credible” was then “politicized” and “used as the basis for countless smears seeking to delegitimize President Trump’s victory, the years-long Mueller investigation, two Congressional impeachments, high level officials being investigated, arrested, and thrown in jail, heightened US-Russia tensions, and more.”
