Sex education activists have been ‘pushing inappropriate content’ in schools in England, the Tory schools spokesman has warned.
Writing on his Substack, Neil O’Brien, the MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston, said too much sex education in schools was inappropriate.
He wrote, ‘Schools are trying to navigate a minefield, but the government is sitting on its hands – with bad consequences for kids.’
According to the MP, the provision of lesson plans and materials has increasingly come from unregulated third parties, ‘often radical campaign groups’, which he claimed was leading to safeguarding failures.
