The lamestream media is at it again, this time it’s attempting to gaslight vulnerable Americans on the worst places to live in the United States and why.
CNBC’s ranking of states likely won’t surprise you, but it might make you laugh out loud.
The 19-year-old CNBC study uses various metrics to measure “quality of life.” Since those rankings consider state laws on civil rights protections, employee anti-discrimination rights and reproductive rights, “states with more restrictive laws, often referred to as red states, tend to score on the quality of life metric,” David Cella, a professor at Northwestern University, Illinois, told Newsweek.
Leah McClimans, a professor at the University of South Carolina, told Newsweek the study’s focus is on “attracting workforce talent” by highlighting these metrics.
“They understood this through dimensions of crime, health care, environmental quality, affordability, availability of childcare, protections against discrimination and abortion policies,” she said.
In other words, the more leftist the policies and laws, the better a state will likely rank.
“Vermont, Maine, New Jersey, Minnesota, Connecticut, Hawaii, North Dakota, Virginia, Nebraska, and Massachusetts” came out in the study’s top 10 spots, according to Newsweek.
“Tennessee, Texas, Indiana, Louisiana, Utah, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri” were among the study’s lowest-ranking states. The Volunteer State, which is quickly filling with blue state refugees, came in dead last on the study’s color-coded map.
X users had a field day with the findings:
It’s true. Total hellscape. Avoid at all costs. Stay where you are and definitely don’t move to TN. North Carolina and Georgia are so much better. Move there instead. https://t.co/Q69z3Junhd

Oh God no. NC is a terrible state. Mountains, piedmont, coastal areas. Fishing! Firearm friendly! Hunting! Hiking! Cabins! No city-bred person in their right mind would come here… I hope…

lol a Tennessean definitely wrote this to discourage more people moving here

Amazing that “abortion policies” is listed as one of their key determinants in “quality of like”. LOL.

YES. 100%. Do NOT move to Tennessee. Bands of roaming zombies. Earthquakes daily. Violent crime on every mile of beautiful country road. Rivers full of trash and continuous flooding. Ultra-high Cost of Living.
Terrible. Stay far, far away!

Tornadoes and hail grapefruit sized, Texas is apocalyptic, stay away!

Tennessee sucks! Everybody wants to know what church you go to. I wouldn’t stay, but my church won’t let me leave.

South Carolina has horrible heat and humidity, snakes falling out of trees on people, mosquitos bigger than murder hornets, murder hornets bigger than crows, and a population of gun toting inbreeds popping off 24/7 like the Hatfields and McCoys. Food is good, though.

I hear terrible things about Tennessee. You couldn’t pay me to live there. Hillbillies and moonshiners are some of the most dangerous people alive. Plus everyone has guns in Tennessee. They should change the name to Terrorsee.

Stay away from these states, lefties! You’ve been warned.
