Calls to pull Kaitlan Collins’ press creds grow after throwdown with Gabbard and Leavitt

Knives are out for CNN’s Kaitlan Collins after she tussled with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday.

During a White House briefing that afternoon, Collins questioned Gabbard about her recent, evidence-backed allegation that former President Barack Obama was the mastermind behind the Russian collusion delusion hoax and conspiracy theory.

“What would you say to people who believe you’re only releasing these documents [the ones showing Obama’s culpability] now to improve your standing with the [current] president after he said that your intelligence assessments were wrong?” she asked.

The question referenced the tiny feud that erupted between Gabbard and President Donald Trump earlier this year after she falsely claimed that Iran was no longer trying to build a nuclear bomb.

Gabbard decided to toss the question to Leavitt after first addressing one of Collins’ other questions. Leavitt in turn proceeded to decimate the CNN journo:

“The only people who are suggesting that the director of national intelligence would release evidence to try to boost her standing with the president are the people in this room who constantly try to sow distrust and chaos amongst the president’s cabinet — and it is not working,” Leavitt said.

“I am with the president of the United States every day. He has the utmost confidence in Director Gabbard. He always has. He continues to. And that is true of his entire cabinet, who is all working as one team to deliver on the promises this president made,” she added.

While it was a fairly quick back-and-forth exchange, it reverberated across the net, attracting the attention of even late Sen. John McCain’s daughter, Meghan, who, for the record, rarely ever attacks the mainstream press.

“Kaitlan Collins is an absolute imbecile and a pure partisan hack,” McCain stunningly wrote on X after the exchange.

“Have some respect for the two women standing in front of you who are exposing lies, deep corruption and keeping the country safe. The White House should pull her credentials,” she added.

McCain was joined in her anger by tens of thousands of Trump administration supporters.

“[I]t’s time we stop enabling @kaitlancollins,” one critic tweeted. “She has proven time and again that her goals are to continually spew hate and negativity despite all that this administration has done. Her press credentials need to be revoked immediately.”

“Kaitlin Collins thinks she is very smart; but exposes her appalling ignorance and partisanship every day,” another critic wrote. “She and other Media have reduced issues of National concern to bits of high school gossip.”

Top MAGA loyalist Steve Bannon also came after Collins this week, albeit for a different reason. Namely, her constant platforming of proven Russian collusion delusion hoaxers like James Clapper and Andrew McCabe.

Collins also faced backlash for hounding White House officials late Thursday about the tiff between President Trump and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
