Ichiro Takes Glorious Shot At Moron Who Didn’t Vote For Him To Be In Hall Of Fame

Checkmate, Ichiro!

Major League Baseball legend Ichiro Suzuki took his place Sunday into the Baseball Hall of Fame. At the end of his career, it was clear that the Japanese icon was going to be cemented into Cooperstown, nobody went against that opinion. Well, except for the one idiot from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America who didn’t give Ichiro their vote.

As a result, Ichiro ended up falling just one vote short of being a unanimous first-ballot Hall of Famer. The former Seattle Mariner had 392 HOF votes out of 393. After he discovered that a voter didn’t have him on his ballot, Ichiro sent an invitation to the writer to reveal themselves, and also issued an invite for them to come to his home for a “good chat” and a drink. Well, that didn’t happen. And during the Hall of Fame speech Sunday from Ichiro, he snatched away his invite to that writer

“Three-thousand hits or 262 hits in one season are achievements recognized by the writers. Well, all but one of you,” said Ichiro. “And, by the way, the offer for that writer to have dinner at my home has now expired.”

You can watch the video here.

Who the hell wouldn’t vote for Ichiro to be in the Hall of Fame? And how do we not know the identity in 2025?

Some of baseball’s greatest mysteries…
