The latest revelations in Russiagate found President Donald Trump expressing his “hope” for what will come of his onetime White House rival.
Damning evidence alleging that then-President Barack Obama’s administration had squashed an intelligence committee report in favor of their own contrived narrative about Russian interference in the 2016 election had only cleared a path for more exposure. Now, as a newly declassified annex purported to show former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s approval of the Russia hoax beforehand, Trump acknowledged his hope that she gets investigated for election fraud.
Fielding questions from the press outside the White House Friday, one reporter could be heard asking the president, “Will Hillary Clinton finally be investigated for election fraud?”
To that, the commander-in-chief responded, “I hope so. I hope so. I don’t know whether or not that’ll happen, but I hope so.”

According to the declassified documents from John Durham’s 2023 Special Counsel report, reported by FBI Director Kash Patel to have been discovered in “burn bags” in a hidden room with other government documents, Clinton had approved the scheme to peddle the notion that Russia was interfering with the election as a means to spin the outcome to her favor.
The documents released by Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) included details of a draft memorandum that spoke to the approved plan “to smear Donald Trump by magnifying the scandal tied to the intrusion by the Russian special services in the pre-election process to benefit the Republican candidate.”
Additional text showed a communication from Open Society Foundations Senior Vice President Leonard Bernardo referencing a Clinton Campaign adviser, indicating “it will be a long-term affair to demonize [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and Trump. Now it is good for a post-convention bounce. Later the FBI will put more oil into the fire.”
“Outcome is far from clear as Americans are more keen on their own woes and Hillary is hardly good-looking as far as credibility is concerned,” the message went on as Clinton was embroiled in her email scandal. “Anyway things are ghastly for US-Russian relations.”
Since the documents initially began to be released, Trump has supported Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s position that those allegedly involved — such as Obama, then-FBI Director James Comey, then-CIA Director John Brennan, and others from the administration — had committed treason in trying to “usurp” the first Trump administration.
Deigning to respond to the allegations against him, Obama had released a statement in July through his spokesman Patrick Rodenbush that read, “Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one.”
“These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction,” continued the statement that insisted ahead of the release of more documents, “Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes.”
Considering the popularity of the “Lock Her Up!” chant from the 2016 election, there was ample support on social media for an investigation of Clinton.

Just once. Just one time I’d like her to be held accountable for something she’s done.

I hope she’s first to be prosecuted.
