ROOKE: Far-Left Group Meeting Goes Viral But No One’s Talking About What It Really Shows

Socialists, specifically the Democratic Socialists of America, have become a national talking point since New York state Rep. Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic primary for New York City mayor July 1.

Their insanely destructive beliefs are on full display in a recent viral meeting posted August 2 where the group pushes to replace the individual with the “collective.” However, there is nothing more harmful to American society than their views on marriage and family.

The Manhattan Institute’s investigative analyst posted clips from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) meeting, “Socialism 2025: The Left and the Family,” featuring panelists Emily Janakiram, a writer and organizer with New York City for Abortion Rights, Katie Gibson, a teaching fellow at the University of Chicago, and University of Chicago sociologist Eman Abdelhadi.

Janakiram, Gibson, Abdelhadi, and other DSA members all espoused anti-family and anti-children views that they claim are a part of the left’s view on the future of American society. And while there is nothing new with the idea that the left works against these traditional American ideals, their plan for their “future of care” for these important parts of life is alarming. For starters, an end goal, when they believe they’ve won this culture war, according to Andrew, a self-identified Baptist minister and DSA member from Austin, is when abortions are being provided in churches across the country. They created a “family agenda” campaign to socialize raising children that has largely failed to the point that even a DSA member admits during the aforementioned recorded meeting that she would never leave her 8-month-old child with them.

“I want to perform abortions at a church before it’s all said and done.”

Janakiram equated marriage to sex work, saying, “the only real difference between marriage and prostitution is the price and duration of the contract.” She claimed that marriage can only exist and be successful when we criminalize sex workers.

“The criminalization of sex work is the dark underbelly of the legally enforced institution of marriage,” Janakiram said, adding that while people can and do get married for practical reasons, marriage as an institution or societal milestone shouldn’t be a goal for anyone.

Janakiram also admits that radicalized leftist women are the ones who push socialism so heavily in our society, but stops short of blaming this on feminism, which tried and often succeeded in forcing women into accepting the girl boss/corporate girlie lifestyle over traditional motherhood and marriage. Instead, Janakiram claims that patriarchy and capitalism victimize women, adding that the significant uptick in women choosing a traditional life is because the left hasn’t offered them enough socialism yet.

“We need to end capitalism because that is ruining your life as a woman. And to me, that is why so many women have retreated into conservatism as well, because they see it as their only opportunity out of this horrible death trap, where you have one group of people telling you the way you emancipate yourself as a woman is to become a girl boss, get an IUD without any anesthesia. And the other side is saying, ‘Get married and have children.’ What we have to say is there is a way out of this for all of you,” she said.

She claims it’s impossible to be a mother to a large family without becoming insanely violent and abusive to their children. She calls the “trad wife” movement a spectacle where all the women involved are miserable.

What a wild and unfactual thing to say about women she doesn’t know. Has she ever met a conservative mother of seven? Because I know 20 of them in my personal life, and not a single one is unhappy or abusive to their children. When she opens her mouth to denounce conservative women, essentially calling them depressed, violent clowns, it just proves the point that leftism, especially far-leftism, is a mental disease that turns your soul into a dark pit of hatred.

At the end of the day, Janakiram and other DSA members at this meeting support the idea of abolishing the family unit to make way for a collective approach to raising our future children. You will no longer have parental rights or authority under their system, which also blindly accepts radical left-wing ideas on transgender ideology, especially for minors.

Their utopia is my nightmare. Americans should use every last breath fighting against this insanity.
