First lady Melania Trump celebrated Thursday after longtime Democrat strategist James Carville apologized for smearing her.
The smear was made last week on Carville’s podcast, “Politics War Room.” According to those who heard the since-edited podcast, he claimed that President Donald Trump met his wife, the first lady, through deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
It was the same lie posited earlier this week by former President Joe Biden’s eldest son, Hunter.
The truth, as documented in the first lady’s memoir, “Melania,” is that the two met when the president approached her at the Kit Kat Club in New York in 1988.
Melania did not take kindly to the smear from Carville. After the podcast aired, she sicced her lawyers on him — and it worked.
The latest episode of Carville’s podcast, published this week, began with him issuing an apology:
“After the episode, we received a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer,” he said. “He took issue with our title of one of those YouTube videos from that episode and a couple of comments I made about the first lady.”
“We took a look at what they complained about, and we took down the video and edited out those comments from the episode. I also take back these statements and apologize,” he added.
After Carville made the apology, Melania triumphantly shared a transcript of it to her X profile.

This is her second victory lap in just one week.
Last week, The Daily Beast published an article also claiming that Epstein had introduced her to her husband, President Trump.
The article was based on the words written in the discredited “journalist” Michael Wolff’s latest book, “Landslide.”
After Melania sicced her lawyers on them, they backed down as well by replacing the article with an editor’s note.
“After this story was published, The Beast received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s attorney challenging the headline and framing of the article,” the note reads. “After reviewing the matter, the Beast has taken down the article and apologizes for any confusion or misunderstanding.”
Again, Melania celebrated by posting a New York Post article about The Daily Beast’s apology:

According to Mediaite’s Isaac Schorr, Wolff is a serial fabulist.
“Wolff is known for making claims of questionable veracity and provenance,” he notes. “In 2018, Wolff falsely suggested that Trump was having an affair with Nikki Haley, who was serving as his ambassador to the United Nations at the time.”
Wolff also famously claimed in a previous book that Rupert Murdoch, Chairman and CEO of News Corp., approved the decision to call Arizona on election night 2020, and that he did so out of apparent spite for President Trump.
Wolff also alleged that after receiving the instructions from Murdoch, Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer called the president’s campaign to give them a heads-up.
These dubious allegations were detailed in “Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency,” which came out in late 2021. The latest infraction from Wolff comes amid Hunter Biden also embracing the Epstein smear, as noted earlier.
A couple of weeks ago, Biden sat with influencer Andrew Callaghan for a fiery interview in which he slammed the Democratic Party. In a follow-up interview with Callaghan published this week, Biden instead focused his attention on Epstein and his alleged ties to the Trumps.
“Jeffrey Epstein was a pedophile that came into enormous wealth by very mysterious circumstances and had connections across the globe to very, very powerful people,” he began.
“And he was murdered right before it was all about to blow up. And so now there supposedly are no files that the American people can see to explain all of that,” he added.
Epstein, in fact, killed himself by hanging in 2019 after he was arrested slightly earlier in the year on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking.
Continuing his remarks, Biden then admitted that he doesn’t believe Epstein had a “client list,” but he does believe that the federal government has evidence implicating Trump.
“Do I think that there’s an actual list? No,” he said. “I don’t think there’s an actual list. I don’t think he was that stupid. But do I think that what they do have implicates [Trump]? Yeah, I think so.”
And he thinks this alleged evidence also implicates the first lady.
“I mean, Epstein introduced Melania to Trump,” he claimed. “The connections are like so wide and deep.”
