This Could Be the Most Important Video Gun Owners Watch All Year
The lighthearted moment follows the resurgence of a 2023 Baskin-Robbins commercial featuring Sydney Sweeney. In the ad, she appeared with rainbow sorbet in a chocolate-dipped waffle cone topped with rainbow sprinkles and gummy bears.
The collaboration, first released in June, also included a signature drink made with sorbet, lemon-lime soda, and gummy bears.

Fans revisiting the ice cream campaign made connections to her American Eagle ad, with one X user writing, “I love Sydney Sweeney and her good jeans and I love Baskin-Robbins ice cream.
You’re the best Sydney.” Another commented, “Let’s see who’s gonna get triggered by Sydney Sweeney’s new Baskin-Robbins ad.”
The American Eagle campaign drew backlash last month after Sweeney said in a promotional video, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color… My jeans are blue,” as the camera focused on her eyes.
Critics on social media claimed the comment evoked references to “eugenics” and “White supremacy.”
As a PROUD black man, I see nothing wrong with Sydney Sweeney and American Eagle parading her “good genes/jeans.”
Celebrating blue eyes and blonde hair isn’t “white supremacy.” Those are conventionally attractive, GOOD GENES. That doesn’t mean they’re the ONLY good genes. pic.twitter.com/FNfcpHuXZg

Others defended Sweeney, including President Donald Trump, who praised her on Truth Social. “Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the ‘HOTTEST’ ad out there.
It’s for American Eagle, and the jeans are ‘flying off the shelves,’” Trump wrote. “The tide has seriously turned — Being WOKE is for losers.”
American Eagle addressed the controversy on August 1, stating, “‘Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans’ is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story. We’ll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone.”
Representatives for Sydney Sweeney, Trent Sweeney, and Baskin-Robbins have not issued further comment.
