Newsom FUMES after ‘Trump’s private army’ arrests illegals outside his presser

The Trump administration is not backing down when it comes to enforcing U.S. immigration laws, no matter how vigorously Democrats cry out on behalf of illegal immigrants.

On Thursday, federal agents were captured on camera arresting suspected illegal immigrants outside a press conference being held by California Gov. Gavin Newsom — talk about an “in-your-face” move.

Newsom, who seems to be singularly focused on drawing attention ahead of an anticipated 2028 White House run, was holding a press conference to openly boast about his plan to gerrymander congressional districts to benefit Democrats — this being his response to Texas rejecting districts drawn strictly along racial lines, arguing that this was unconstitutional gerrymandering.

The Democratic governor fumed over ICE agents being present at his event, calling it “pretty sick and pathetic.”

“And it just said everything you need to know about the setting that we’re under,” Newsom told reporters. “That they chose the time, manner, and place to send their district director outside right when we’re about to have this press conference. It’s everything we know about Donald Trump’s America.”

“That was top down, you know that for a fact. They’ll deny it, I’m sure. Maybe they won’t deny it,” he added. “It said everything you know about the authoritarian tendencies of the president of the United States.  I said it a moment ago, wake up, America. Wake up. You will not have a country if he rigs this election. You will a president who will be running for a third term. Mark my word.”

As seen above, Newsom is going so far with his fearmongering as to warn that Trump will run for a THIRD term in 2028.

His office went even further, crying about Trump’s “private army” enforcing the law “illegally on private property.”

Assistant Director of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin responded to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass flipping out over the arrests to say Customs and Border Protection (CBP) “patrols all areas of Los Angeles every day with over 40 teams on the ground to make LA safe.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
