The autopsy of “Lilo & Stitch” actor David Hekili Kenui Bell lists four “pathological diagnoses” as factors in his death at age 46, according to a Tuesday report.
New details about his condition emerged two months after Bell “complained of difficulty breathing” and passed away, People first reported, citing police documents.
The autopsy report was issued by the Hawaii Police Department and stated the Hawaiian actor suffered from acute respiratory failure, sepsis, hypertensive/atherosclerotic heart disease and morbid obesity, according to People.

The autopsy was performed June 19 and completed July 10, according to the outlet. It suggested medical intervention efforts consistent with resuscitation attempts were evident, People reported.
Bell had defibrillator (AED) pads on his chest, an airway in his mouth, a blood pressure cuff on his right upper arm and an IV line in his left arm, the outlet noted, citing the autopsy report. He also reportedly had an intraosseous needle in his left lower leg. (RELATED: ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Actor David Hekili Kenui Bell Dead Weeks After Big Screen Debut, Family Says)
Further findings included that Bell had stasis dermatitis — a skin condition resulting from poor blood circulation in the legs, according to People. He also had swelling from edema, which is caused by fluid accumulation in his lower limbs, the outlet stated.
The autopsy report included a toxicology screen which found no evidence of drugs or alcohol beyond reporting limits in the actor’s system, People reported.
The outlet added there was not a singular cause or manner of death in the report.
A Hawaii Police Department spokesperson previously told the outlet the coroner’s inquest investigation was part of their normal protocols, confirming no foul play was suspected in the actor’s death.
Bell was laid to rest August 9 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea.
