In the video posted to X on Sunday, other wrestlers jumped in to pull Jackson off of Smith.
Police were called to the event and took a police report, and the incident is now being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, according to TMZ.
The incident resulted in Smith being rushed to the hospital, where an insider told the outlet that Smith is “fine and recovering.”
Prior to Jackson beating Smith, another KnokX Pro wrestler known as AJ Mana encouraged Jackson to attack Smith while backstage, according to a video posted to X on Sunday.
“You fucking give him his receipt. You remember what a receipt is? Give him that fucking receipt, bro, tag his shit. If he got a fucking problem with it, I’ll fucking run out there,” Mana told Jackson.

“Tag his shit, bro,” Mana told him before Jackson walked off.
The incident seemed to stem from an altercation that Jackson and Smith had prior to the KnokX Pro event.
In a video posted to X on Sunday, Smith smacked Jackson over the head with an empty can.

It seemed Smith didn’t realize Jackson wasn’t another wrestler, but the misunderstanding still angered Jackson, and the two had to be separated.
Following the altercation, Smith apologized to Jackson and clarified that he was unaware Jackson was not a wrestler.

Rampage Jackson took to X on Sunday to offer an explanation for his son’s actions, while admitting he didn’t condone the attack.
“Raja was unexpectedly hit in the side of the head by him moments before Smith’s match, Raja was told that he could get his “payback”in the ring, I thought it was a part of the show,” Rampage said in his post. “It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this.”
“I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, I’m deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith,” Rampage went on to say.
