Nancy Mace faces down ‘lunatic rage’ at rowdy town-hall, dares the Left to bring it

South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace blew off a crowd of protesters as a byproduct of “lunatic rage.”

The representative and Republican gubernatorial candidate attended two events on the same day, one in Greenville and then another shortly after in Spartanburg. She claims that some of the same protesters showed up to both of these events in order to speak out against President Donald Trump and follow her to events around her state.

Watch:

“Here is a man, President Donald Trump, who is making our country and our capital, everywhere safer, by deporting those who are here illegally. And the left’s response, Democrats’ response, is to protest in favor of MS-13, to protest in favor of the wife beaters, to protest in favor of violent criminals who are here illegally,” Mace said, praising the president’s work during the first year of his second term.

While at the Greenville event, one person asked Mace how she would be able to ensure those detained during ICE raids would be able to receive their constitutional right to due process.

“I mean, if I could put the National Guard on the corner of Home Depot every morning at 6 a.m., I would do that too,” she answered.

“Some of you do hate our country,” Mace said to one critic in the audience, noting that leftist attitudes toward the United States tend to be negative, adding later: “I think you might even hate our state, too.”

Mace is not about to apologize for being combative at her town halls, saying that protesters are going to get as good as they give.

“These people need a dose of their own medicine. And these are people that weren’t told ‘no’ growing up. They were told that they could be a unicorn, that men could get pregnant, all these crazy things. And that is not reality. That is not the world that we live in,” she said. “These people need a dose of reality…somebody has to be the adult in the room, and somebody has to tell these people the truth.”

As far as future events that may be subjected to the “lunatic rage” of the left, the representative said she’s ready and willing to go rounds with more of the activists.

“I don’t mind it. I hope that more come to our events. We’re taking the state by storm,” she said, clearly undeterred by their intimidation tactics.
