Video captured on board an American Airlines flight shows a violent altercation between two men in the aisle after one allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck as passengers were disembarking.
The incident took place Monday on American Airlines Flight 2249 as it arrived in Miami.
The video, obtained by TMZ, begins with a man appearing to grab a woman in the aisle and push her backward.

Moments later, another male passenger rushes in to intervene.
As the confrontation escalates, a “safety alert” announcement can be heard over the plane’s intercom.
The man accused of grabbing the woman then moves further down the aisle and shoves the intervening passenger into a row of seats, shouting, “Don’t you grab me like that.”
The disturbance caused panic among those still on board. Several passengers shouted in disbelief.

“What the f**k are you doin’?” one woman yelled, demanding the man be arrested.
Another passenger was heard pleading, “We’re trying to pass. Somebody needs to get this man. Call the police.”
A flight attendant attempted to calm the situation, urging passengers to clear the aisle so that others seated at the rear of the plane could make their connecting flights.
Despite the crew’s efforts, passengers continued shouting as the two men confronted one another.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office later confirmed to TMZ that deputies responded to a report of battery after the plane landed. According to officials, no arrests were made.
One of the men involved reportedly fled the scene, while the other declined to press charges. The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear.
The incident adds to a growing number of reports of disruptive behavior on flights in recent years.
Business Insider reported earlier this year that flight attendants have filed nearly 13,000 reports of “unruly passenger incidents” with the Federal Aviation Administration since 2021.
The FAA has said that such cases range from passengers refusing to comply with crew instructions to physical confrontations.
The FAA has the authority to pursue civil penalties against disruptive passengers, with fines reaching as high as $37,000 per violation.
In some cases, the Department of Justice has also pursued criminal charges.
American Airlines has not issued a public statement on the Miami incident.
The airline’s website outlines policies requiring passengers to comply with crew instructions at all times and notes that federal law prohibits interference with flight attendants’ duties.
While no injuries were reported, the outburst left passengers shaken.
Cell phone footage circulated widely on social media after being published by TMZ, adding to the scrutiny on the increasing number of in-flight confrontations.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said the matter is considered closed after the decision not to pursue charges.
