Army Football Paid Dinky Little School Nobody’s Heard Of Crazy Amount Of Money Just To Lose

I love our military, but what on earth is this?

Maybe some of you have, because I’m not gonna lie, I have never in my life heard of Tarleton State. Or maybe I have and just don’t remember. But here they are at an undefeated 2-0 to start the season, with their recent victory being the massive upset win over Army. And what makes that dub even crazier is the fact that the Black Knights paid a hefty $250,000 to the Texans for the two to play one another. So not only did Army lose, but they paid to lose! Boy oh boy, how I hate this for our military and my fellow patriots who will cringe at this, but that’s college football for ya.

If you didn’t watch the game — first off, I’m sorry that you didn’t, because it was wild! — Tarleton State won by a 30-27 score, with the contest ending on a game-winning field goal from kicker Brad Larson.

Now I’m nervous.

As you guys know, I’m a massive Miami Hurricanes fan, but with my (literal) hurricane enthusiasm and being a fan of the “Hurricane Hunters,” I’ve grown to cheer on the Air Force football program. Well, they play little Bucknell today at 3:30 p.m. ET, and after the Army upset, I just can’t help but to have those thoughts in the back of my head that maybe the Falcons could suffer the same fate.

Oh man … the anxiety of college football is back with a vengeance.
