AG Bondi reportedly fires prosecutors who worked on trumped-up J6 cases

Attorney General Pam Bondi has fired at least three of the federal prosecutors who worked on the Biden regime’s trumped-up cases against January 6 protesters, a move that sent a chill through the Justice Department workforce.

The moves were first reported by NBC News, which said that one of the dismissal letters that was seen by the outlet was signed by Bondi. The outlet also cites the now obligatory anonymous sources in “more than half a dozen current and former officials familiar with the dismissals.”

According to NBC News, the letter signed by the attorney general told the recipient that they were being “removed from federal service effective immediately,” with no reason specified for the termination.

“The Justice Department declined to comment Friday night,” NBC News reported.

If confirmed, it would be the first firing of career federal prosecutors who worked on the politically charged cases brought against President Donald J. Trump’s supporters who were at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, an election integrity protest that turned chaotic and was falsely branded as an “insurrection” by Democrats and their media minions.

It would also be the first firings of non-probationary prosecutors who worked on the J6 cases.

NBC News quotes one unnamed federal law enforcement official who described the dismissals as “horrifying” and said that two of the “prosecutors had been serving in other capacities before the 2024 election.”

“To fire them, without explanation, is a slap in the face not only to them, but to all career DOJ prosecutors,” the anonymous official said. “No one is safe from this administration’s whims and impulses. And the public certainly is not served by the continued brain drain of DOJ — we are losing the best among us every day.”

X users reacted to what one outlet is calling a “late-night bloodbath,” cheering the cleaning out of the bad apples, the only way to restore faith in a federal justice system that was weaponized by the Biden administration.
