Ambulance Darts Through Live Horse Race In Absolutely Wacky Video

How on earth does this even happen?

Horse racing is perilous on its own, but when an ambulance barrels straight toward the thundering field as they sweep into the first turn, it transforms mere danger into absolute chaos.

That horrifying scene played out over the weekend at St. Landry Paris, Louisiana’s Evangeline Downs. (RELATED: All Hell Breaks Loose During Georgia High School Football Game As Players Beat Living Crap Out Of Each Other)

Just a couple hundred yards into the Quarter Horse race, an ambulance suddenly came roaring straight down the track along the inner rail, heading directly toward the oncoming field. In an astonishing feat of skill and reflexes, every jockey managed to steer clear of what could have been a catastrophic collision, then somehow composed themselves and finished the race as though the near-disaster never happened.

Remarkably, not a single jockey even glanced back as the ambulance darted past them in the other direction.

It was reported on social media by journalist Ray Paulick that officials declared the race a no contest, doing so with the shocking video from the official broadcast.
