‘American Idol’ Supervisor Robin Kaye Reportedly Killed In Double Homicide

Police discovered “American Idol” music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, dead inside their Encino home Monday, authorities told TMZ.

Officers conducted a welfare check at the couple’s residence and reportedly noticed blood near the front entrance, according to TMZ’s report citing law enforcement sources. Police then smashed a window to get inside, where they found the pair dead in what the sources described as a gruesome double murder. The couple appeared to have suffered possible gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene, TMZ reported. The Los Angeles Police Department has not formally confirmed the cause of death.

Police had reportedly been called to the same Encino home just four days earlier, after a neighbor reported seeing an armed suspect trying to break in. Witnesses told the outlet they saw someone hopping a fence and called police.

During Monday’s welfare check, neighbors told officers the couple’s family hadn’t heard from them in four days, according to the outlet. (RELATED: Raul Valle Found Not Guilty In High Profile Murder Of 17-Year-Old Jimmy McGrath)

Kaye served as music supervisor on “American Idol” for at least 15 seasons, earning multiple Guild of Music Supervisors Awards. She also worked on shows including “Lip Sync Battle.”

The home where Kaye and Deluca were found was once owned by the late rapper Juice WRLD.

Authorities have not released further details about the suspected double murder. Both victims were 70 years old, according to The Sun.
