The long-running crime-fighting series America’s Most Wanted is returning for a third season on FOX, with John Walsh once again at the helm—this time joined by his son, Callahan Walsh.
The father-son team is relaunching the iconic show at a time when the southern border crisis has brought an influx of fugitives into the United States, as reported by Fox News.

FOX will air the season premiere on Monday, April 21, with episodes available on Hulu the following day. The revamped version continues the mission that began in 1988: enlisting the public’s help to locate and capture dangerous fugitives.
This time, it comes with renewed urgency amid ongoing concerns about crime tied to illegal immigration.
John Walsh, now 79, told Fox News Digital that the show is adapting to modern tools, including social media and digital sleuthing.

“There’s a whole new genre of these armchair detectives, these internet sleuths… sharing information and details of cases that aren’t always easy to get,” said Callahan. “It’s pretty incredible what the viewers can come up with.”
The new season, according to John, will feature fugitives who have crossed the southern border illegally.

“Some countries emptied their mental institutions. Some of them definitely emptied their jails. Homeland Security estimates that 700 different terrorists have come across the border in recent years.”
He added, “Not to start a new life here, [but] came here to blow up buildings like the Trade Towers.”
John also highlighted the human trafficking crisis, including the exploitation of unaccompanied minors by cartels and trafficking rings.
“We have the greatest challenge America’s ever had that has walked across that border for the last four years,” he said. “So we’ve got to saddle up.”
The Walsh family’s crusade against crime began with personal tragedy. In 1981, John’s six-year-old son, Adam Walsh, was abducted from a Sears store in Hollywood, Florida. Some of Adam’s remains were found days later in Vero Beach.
It wasn’t until 2008 that police officially named serial killer Ottis Toole as the perpetrator.
“Adam’s case took 27 years to solve,” John said. “Justice delayed is not justice denied, but it took 27 years to solve my own son’s case.”

The original America’s Most Wanted series helped capture 1,198 fugitives. The Walshes say the show’s mission continues, especially with the growing list of criminals entering the country illegally. As John Walsh put it, “It’s going to be a power pack.”
