‘An Earache’: Democrat Rep Sings Bizarre Tune About Epstein Files

Democratic Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson posted a video Monday singing a song demanding the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Axios obtained a two-page memo and jailhouse footage in a leak, claiming that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, and it also denies the existence of an incriminating “client list.” In a post on X, Johnson posted a video of him singing and demanding the release of more information.

“Congressman Hank Johnson coming to give you some more ear candy or perhaps an earache. But I’m going to do my best off of this Jason Isbell tune, ‘Dreamsicle,’” Johnson said while holding a guitar. He then launched into a bizarre performance.

“Epstein died by suicide, believe that and you must be blind. You’ve been telling us you’ll release the files, but where are they? We’ve gone along with what’s been told. You’ve had plenty of time, you’re in control. But now you say you will withhold the Epstein files,” Johnson sang. “Dreamsicle on a summer night in a full day room on a chair. Drums hollering at the moon, release the Epstein file soon.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi previously claimed she was reviewing a so-called client list, but the administration released an unsigned memo July 6 stating Epstein had no such list and was not murdered in his New York City jail cell in 2019. Bondi later said she was referring to the broader Epstein case file, not a specific client list. (RELATED: Trump Admin Defends Epstein Conspirator’s Conviction At Supreme Court)

The House of Representatives may vote this week on whether to force the Trump administration to release records related to Epstein. Democratic California Rep. Ro Khanna is spearheading the push, planning to file the measure Tuesday as an amendment to pending cryptocurrency legislation.

The House Rules Committee will review the crypto bill and proposed amendments during a markup hearing Tuesday. With a 9-4 Republican majority, the panel typically aligns with House GOP leadership on key procedural decisions.
