The candidates for New York City mayor gathered Wednesday for a second debate where Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa took aim at his counterparts, Democrat Zohran Mamdani and independent Andrew Cuomo, the former Democratic New York governor. When Sliwa slammed Cuomo on his leadership record, dunking on his departure from state leadership and his alleged policies regarding the mentally unwell, the former governor tried claiming the Republican’s argument didn’t fit the 21st Century.
