The entertainment company Angel Studios is set to launch a new documentary Thursday about Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The documentary “The Truth About RFK Jr.” will be made exclusively available on Angel’s streaming platforms, according to a company press release obtained by the Daily Caller. The feature was directed by Ron Lynch, produced by Jeff Hays Films and written by Gabriel Lakey.
“Blending rare archival material with insightful new interviews, the film offers an intimate portrait of a man shaped by legacy, loss, and the relentless pursuit of purpose,” the press release read.
The feature-length documentary looks over RFK Jr.’s life from childhood, examining his politically involved family and the personal loss he has experienced. It also chronicles his addiction struggles and his recovery and examine his work on public policy, according to the press release. The son of late Democratic New York Sen. and U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of late President John F. Kennedy, both assassinated in troubled 1960s, RFK Jr. ran in the 2024 presidential election as an independent candidate. He later dropped out and endorsed President Donald Trump — a move followed by Trump nominating him for the post of HHS Secretary. The U.S. Senate confirmed his nomination in February.
Producer Jeff Hays provided a statement for the press release. “When we set out to make ‘The Truth About RFK Jr.,’ our goal was to go beyond the headlines and politics to uncover the human story — a sense of loss, resilience, and transformation. RFK Jr.’s journey is not just about one man, but also about the universal struggle to turn adversity into purpose. I believe audiences will come away challenged and inspired by his path,” the producer said.
