Asylum seekers in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley in the West Midlands get half-price squash, DVD hire, and comedy nights. The latest in Guido’s Asylum Freebiegate series…

Numerous groups including blue badge holders, veterans, and asylum seekers qualify for Dudley’s Options+ discount scheme, which provides 50% deals on numerous leisure and entertainment services. Those include:

• Public swimming and swimming lessons
• Gyms and gym induction
• Fitness classes (facility run)
• Badminton, squash, table tennis and racketball
• Pickleball at Crystal Leisure Centre
• Coaching courses
• Four-day advance booking for selected activities
• Running track at the Dell Stadium
• “Admission to selected events” at 18th century venue Himley Hall
• CD and DVD hire at Dudley Libraries
