Asylum Seekers in Welsh Council Given Discounts on Theatre and Zoo Tickets
The legacy media has been following Guido’s asylum freebiegate series. There is still an abundance of examples of asylum seekers being offered across discounts on luxury activities. Swansea County Council has a “Passport for Leisure” scheme offering asylum seekers discounts on all adult prices at Swansea Council leisure venues. Some of the more eyebrow-raising offers include:
- 10% off Clyne Farm Centre, a farm offering riding and other outdoor activities.
- 50% off swimming and aquaschool courses.
- Free annual membership to four tennis courts.
- Up to 60% off boating.
- Up to 60% off theatre tickets.
- Up to 60% off tickets at the zoo.
The Passport for Leisure card is also offered to those on benefits. Swansea raised council tax by 5% this year. A UK-wide scandal…
