President Donald Trump’s impactful visit to the Middle East and his accomplishments there were blown off by Democrats, who preferred to launch a stunt to criticize him.
As the president arrived in Qatar as part of his multi-stop trip, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) took to the skies with a “Welcome to Qatar-a-Lago” banner flying over Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida residence.
“Donald Trump is using the presidency to personally enrich himself while he bankrupts working families. His corruption is a slap in the face to the millions of Americans who are struggling to get by and put food on the table,” claimed DNC Chair Ken Martin in a statement.

“Today, the DNC is highlighting what foreign autocracies around the world already know: Trump has no loyalty to the American people, national security, or the Constitution – his only allegiance is to his bank account and his billionaire buddies,” Martin continued. “Whether it’s billionaires at home or governments abroad, Trump won’t hesitate to sell out America’s working families to the highest bidder.”
The banner was flown over the Palm Beach residence through the afternoon on Wednesday.
Critics are up in arms about the $400 million luxury jet that the Qatari royal family wants to gift to Trump. The president slammed the Democrats as “World Class Losers” in a Truth Social post reacting to their uproar over what they see as a bribe.
Qatar’s prime minister pushed back at criticism, declaring that his nation does not need to “buy influence” in the U.S.
“Why would we buy an influence in the United States?” Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani asked in a CNN interview.
“If you look just in the last 10 years in the US-Qatar relationship, Qatar has been always there for the US, when it’s needed,” he added. “Whether it’s on the war against terror, whether it’s in the evacuation of Afghanistan, whether it’s on releasing hostages from different, different countries around the world.”
Speaking with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, the prime minister lamented that the topic is “being more politicized.”
Qatar PM: Unfortunately, I see this story is taking a different direction and it’s being politicized while it’s a normal government to government deal… We bought this airplane from an American company. It’s basically part of a cooperation that we have been doing together… pic.twitter.com/cQLJkkOkhE

“For the U.S. we’ve been a reliable ally for the U.S. and It’s something between the Ministry of Defense and Qatar and the Department of Defense, and it’s in the discussion between them and under legal review,” he said.
