Steve Bannon sharply criticized Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) during a recent episode of his “War Room” podcast, calling for the senator’s arrest if he continues his diplomatic outreach and vocal support for Ukraine’s military efforts against Russia.
Bannon expressed particular outrage over Graham’s praise of Ukraine’s recent drone attack on Russian military assets, accusing the senator of escalating international conflict and undermining President Donald Trump’s foreign policy stance.
“The White House has to condemn this immediately and pull all support and tell Lindsey Graham to come home or we are going to put you under arrest when you come home,” Bannon said.
“You’re stirring it up.”

The comments followed reports of a Ukrainian drone assault that successfully targeted Russian strategic bombers deep inside Russian territory.
According to The Hill, the strike reportedly destroyed 40 aircraft, delivering a potential morale boost to Ukrainian forces and drawing global attention to Ukraine’s evolving military capabilities.
Graham, who has frequently visited Ukraine and maintains strong ties with Kyiv’s leadership, responded to the attack by applauding what he described as Ukraine’s creative use of drone warfare.

In a post on X, Graham wrote:
“The ever-resourceful Ukraine used creative drone warfare tactics to successfully attack Russian bombers and military assets used to kill Ukrainian citizens and destroy their country.
Russia indiscriminately kills men, women and children. It’s time for the world to act decisively against Russia’s aggression by holding China and others accountable for buying cheap Russian oil that props up Putin’s war machine.”

Bannon, however, took issue with Graham’s ongoing efforts to promote support for Ukraine, arguing that the senator’s actions conflict with President Trump’s stated goal of bringing the war to a negotiated end.
“This is completely against what President Trump is trying to do. Graham is operating his own foreign policy,” Bannon said on War Room.

Graham has consistently ranked among the most hawkish voices in the Senate on foreign policy and national defense, particularly on matters related to Russia and Ukraine.
He has made multiple trips to Ukraine in recent years and has frequently advocated for stronger U.S. and international support for the Ukrainian military.
In response to Ukraine’s military strikes inside Russian territory, Graham has doubled down on calls for global action against Moscow and economic penalties for countries—including China—that continue to purchase Russian oil, which he says enables Russia’s war efforts.
Graham has not responded directly to Bannon’s remarks, and there is no indication of any legal action pending against the senator.
However, Bannon’s comments have added a new level of intra-party tension, highlighting divisions among Republican leaders over U.S. involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
President Donald Trump has emphasized the need for a peace agreement and a de-escalation of foreign entanglements, while figures like Graham continue to advocate for sustained and robust backing of Ukraine’s military resistance.
The debate reflects broader disagreements within the Republican Party over foreign policy priorities heading into the next election cycle.
