How on earth does this even happen?
The New York Jets give us everything. Point-and-laugh defeats, moments that are extraordinarily embarrassing, disappointment for their fanbase every single year. They have it all. And that was evident Sunday prior to the team’s season-opening game against their former quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his Pittsburgh Steelers.
Prior to the Jets officially opening a new chapter with their quarterback Justin Fields, the team did what most do before a game, and that’s honor the United States of America. You know, the greatest country in the world, by far, and it’s not even close. Well, New York decided to do so with a massive 100-yard flag going across the entire field. And, of course, with the Jets being the Jets, there was major dysfunction. (RELATED: NFL Hall Of Famer Randy Moss Reveals Doctors Removed Parts Of Multiple Organs Amid Cancer Battle)
There were easily over 100 people that were holding the flag and keeping it off the turf, but somehow, someway, some guy ended up getting stuck on the top of old glory. As you’ll see in the video, the man literally had to crawl along the gargantuan American flag, embarrassingly doing so in front of a whopping 80,000 fans.
To answer my original question, “How on earth does this even happen?”
The New York Jets, that’s how.

At this point, the Jets’ dysfunctional ways have become an American tradition — literally.
