We know D.C. bureaucrats are enraged over the Trump administration’s crackdown on crime, but D.C. residents appear to have a different perspective.
As Democrats fume over the temporary federalization of law enforcement in the nation’s capital, videos are emerging of purported residents who are noticing the immediate and welcomed effects from President Trump’s bold move.
In one viral video, a “real D.C. resident” who said she was born and raised in the city and works at a local law firm, told Lindell TV that crime has gotten out of control and called the federalized crackdown, “the best thing to happen to this city in decades.”

A TikTok video showed another woman who appeared ecstatic and relieved to finally feel safe while commuting through the city.
“Finally able to chill at a red light with my windows down, not worried about if one of them young n***as is coming. Riding through the city — feeling more safe than I’ve ever felt,” she said.

On Wednesday, very soon after the crackdown began, a man slammed the statistics coming from D.C. police and politicians and lauded the very real changes he was already seeing with his own eyes.
“I came all the way down Pennsylvania Avenue this morning. So peaceful here. I don’t smell no weed. I don’t see no homeless people.”
People in DC are already feeling the benefits of Trump taking over

In yet another video, conservative pundit CJ Pearson confirmed what others were saying about the changes.
“No gaggles of gangbangers in sight. No cadres of criminals! No ‘Youths’ running amok!” Pearson stated on X:
Thanks to President Trump, I finally feel safe walking around our nation’s capital again.
Because of that he isn’t just MAKING DC SAFE AGAIN, he’s MAKING AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN.

These testimonies, while anecdotal, are a promising sign for the city, especially considering that the new initiative has just begun.
Perhaps Turning Point founder and CEO Charlie Kirk put it best when he contemplated what this might mean for Democrats and their failing blue cities if a month from now, D.C. is undeniably safer and cleaner.
“Forget the photos of National Guardsmen in Georgetown — this is what really matters. The Trump Administration is showing that every part of urban decay that the public hates is a choice. If DC is clearly better, cleaner, safer, and more pleasant a month from now, what excuse will the left have for every other city in the country?”
The Trump Administration has already started cleaning out DC’s homeless encampments and has revoked the city’s sanctuary city policies. Graffiti is getting removed and President Trump says he plans to aggressively fill potholes too.
