Biden’s DEI pick for SCOTUS rails against Trump in Puerto Rico

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was cheered after she slammed President Donald J. Trump during a judges’ conference in Puerto Rico this week, the latest political attacks from one of the court’s trio of left-wing Democrats.

In remarks reported by Politico, Jackson assailed the president and other Republicans who have criticized the actions of lower court activist judges who have used lawfare in a series of temporary restraining orders and nationwide injunctions to derail Trump’s reforms in a brazen attempt to nullify the results of last year’s election.

Before an on-stage discussion about her life and career, Jackson took the microphone to address what she describes as “the relentless attacks and disregard and disparagement that judges around the country and perhaps many of you are facing on a daily basis.”

“It seems as though every time I read the news or turn on the television these days, I see the affronts,” she told her audience.

“The attacks are not random. They seem designed to intimidate those of us who serve in this critical capacity,” she told the judges. “The threats and harassment are attacks on our democracy, on our system of government. And they ultimately risk undermining our Constitution and the rule of law.”

While she did not specifically mention the president by name, she made it clear that she was referring to “the elephant in the room,” as the court is expected to weigh in on the resistance from the district court judges, including potentially placing limitations on ability for a lone unelected judge to undercut the chief executives powers as set forth by the U.S. Constitution.

The Joe Biden appointee also encouraged the judges to show “raw courage” in their ongoing resistance to the Trump administration, a flagrantly political speech by a member of a court that is supposed to be above politics.

“I urge you to keep going, keep doing what is right for our country, and I do believe that history will vindicate your service,” Jackson said, receiving a standing ovation from the “impartial” arbiters of the law.

Appointed by the disgraced former president as the fulfillment of a pledge to Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) to put a black woman on the bench after the South Carolina kingfish mobilized his formidable political machine to save Biden in the 2020 primaries, KBJ has continued to demonstrate that she was just another DEI hire and a political hack who has diminished the high court by her presence.

Jackson’s anti-Trump rant makes her the second member of the SCOTUS to counterattack the president’s criticism of the judicial activists.

Chief Justice John Roberts rebuked Trump after he came out in support of the impeachment of D.C. Judge James Boasberg, who has been assigned an unusual number of lawfare cases brought by Democrat lawyers to stymie the reforms that he was elected to implement.

“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision,” Roberts said in a statement provided to select left-wing media outlets. “The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.”
