BOB UNANUE: Saving Our Children From Biden’s Border Chaos

America will never forgive a government that loses our children to death, drugs, and modern-day slavery, yet that is exactly what happened under the failed Biden-Harris Administration.

The numbers are staggering. Since January 2021, more than 550,000 children crossed the border illegally without a parent or legal guardian. Of those, according to a Department of Homeland Security Inspector General report, more than 300,000 children were lost under the watch of Joe Biden and “Border Czar” Kamala Harris. Some were later found dead, others were trafficked into forced labor, raped, or sold as sex slaves. This is not just a failure of leadership; it is one of the darkest scandals in modern American history.

The Biden-Harris Administration’s approach to vetting sponsors for unaccompanied minors has been questioned, raising serious concerns about how systems meant to protect children instead facilitated their exploitation. Tara Lee Rodas, a government whistleblower and former senior official at the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), revealed that despite the previous administration’s awareness of grave risks, it failed to implement necessary safeguards, leaving children vulnerable to trafficking.

This inaction, whether by design or neglect, allowed a multi-billion-dollar child trafficking operation to flourish, with the government – knowingly or unknowingly – playing a role in enabling the exploitation of vulnerable minors. As John Fabbricatore – President Trump’s senior advisor at the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement in charge of finding the missing children – revealed: “We found children who have been raped…children made to work off debt in trafficking situations…children treated like sexual slaves.” (RELATED: Here’s The Unfiltered Story Behind Biden’s Border Disaster, Straight From Ground Zero)

Children were exploited for labor, illegal adoptions, pornography, and more, often with little to no consequences for those who benefited from their suffering. Those who were entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding these children — namely former Health & Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas — have yet to be held accountable.

An important question to ask is: Who profited from the sale of God’s children — the drug cartels, corporations, sponsors, the federal government, others? Those who benefit from the trafficking — whether by facilitating illegal adoptions, exploiting labor, selling children for pornography and body parts, or profiting from other black-market activities — exploit the suffering of children with little to no consequence. It is imperative that we track the flow of money. We should involve the Treasury Department to follow the financial trail and the Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute those responsible.

This was the real face of the Biden-Harris Administration’s open border agenda: Children abandoned, exploited, and discarded. Parents in Central America were encouraged by those policies to send their sons and daughters north with smugglers, believing they would be safe. Instead, toddlers were pushed over the border wall by cartels. Infants were left abandoned in the desert. Two brothers were discovered with their relatives’ contact information scribbled on their shirts in marker, treated like packages to be delivered. In one haunting case, a two-month-old baby was found alone by Border Patrol agents in Texas. These tragedies were not inevitable. They were the direct result of reckless and lawless policies.

All this came to an end on Day One of the Trump-Vance Administration. America First policies under President Donald J. Trump are protecting children, restoring law and order, and dismantling the criminal networks profiting off human suffering. The “Remain in Mexico” policy cuts off incentives for parents to send children on a deadly journey north. Sanctuary cities are being challenged. Drug cartels are being hit with maximum enforcement pressure, and their trafficking routes disrupted. Most importantly,— making it far harder for predators to exploit vulnerable children.

With President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Border Czar Tom Homan leading the charge, America is correcting course. Homan, one of the toughest and most effective border enforcers in history, is restoring accountability at every level. While the Biden-Harris Administration lost track of children, Trump and Homan are rescuing them from abuse, reuniting them with their families, and securing the border. This is the America First difference: Compassion guided by law and strength that protects the vulnerable. When the border is secure, children are safe; when it is open, children suffer. It’s that simple.

The Biden-Harris years will be remembered as the great betrayal of children. They refused to act while cartels made billions smuggling human beings across our border. They abandoned their duty to safeguard life, liberty, and dignity. And they left behind a humanitarian disaster of historic proportions.

Every American should be outraged at what happened. No child, regardless of where they are born, deserves to die in a drug house, to be sold into slavery, or to be lost forever in a broken system. That is why America First policies are not just about border security; they are about human dignity and national survival.

America is watching. Parents are watching. The world is watching. And with President Trump in charge, we are saying what Biden and Harris never would: God’s children are not for sale.
