Bondi Opens Full Epstein Investigation Targeting Democrat Power Players [WATCH]

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Friday that the Department of Justice will open an investigation into several high-profile Democrats and financial institutions linked to Jeffrey Epstein.

Bondi said she has assigned SDNY U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton to lead the effort.

The decision followed a request from President Donald Trump earlier in the day.

Bondi acknowledged the directive in a post responding to the President.

“Thank you, Mr. President. SDNY U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton is one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country, and I’ve asked him to take the lead. As with all matters, the Department will pursue this with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people,” she wrote.

President Trump outlined his request in a Truth Social post Friday morning. “Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous SHUTDOWN, and all of their other failures, I will be asking A.G. Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him.”

He added that the claims circulating this week resemble past political narratives. “This is another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats. Records show that these men, and many others, spent large portions of their life with Epstein, and on his ‘Island.’ Stay tuned!!!”

The investigation announcement followed the release of several emails by Democrats earlier in the week.

The documents referenced communications in which Epstein made claims about President Trump.

In a 2019 message, Epstein wrote that Trump “knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”

Another email from 2011 stated that Trump “spent hours at my house” with Virginia Giuffre.

Democrats redacted Giuffre’s name from the release, despite her being one of the most widely known Epstein victims.

Giuffre has repeatedly stated publicly that President Trump never engaged in any improper conduct with her.

Bondi’s decision sets the stage for a federal review of Epstein’s connections with political figures and financial institutions named in the President’s directive.

The investigation will proceed under Clayton’s oversight, with the Department of Justice and the FBI participating in the review.
