Everybody was in a pissy mood in this game … Louisville, Toledo, me, everybody!
The Louisville Cardinals and Toledo Rockets had one hell of a game in the Bush’s Boca Raton Bowl of Beans (Yes, that’s the actual name, and I couldn’t love it more), and boy oh boy, was it a great way to start out another bowl day.
I had Louisville -7.5 in the game, so as I write this, I admit that I’m in a bad mood. At first, it looked like the Cardinals were going to roll to a smooth victory, but then they started looking discombobulated and the pesky Rockets took advantage to give us a ball game. An intense back-and-forth defensive showdown would take place until the fourth quarter, and then things got wacky. At one point, it looked like Louisville finally got everything together, scoring consecutive touchdowns on back-to-back drives, but then Toledo ended up putting themselves back in the game courtesy of more mistakes from the Cardinals. Ultimately, however, Louisville would go on to win 27-22 and not cover the spread to leave me fuming, but I digress.
But before we got to the final result, this happened to break out, what you really showed up for.
