Armenian Ministries (AM) works as a missionary charity in Armenia. Our main purposes are to relieve poverty among the destitute individuals and families that we meet and to spread the good news of the gospel in the community. From our headquarters in the capital city Yerevan, we distribute food parcels, clothes and shoes, warm bedding, school supplies, mobility aids, wood for winter fuel, and so on.
Many humanitarian aid items are sent to our headquarters in Armenia via aid containers from the UK. We take donations such as new clothes, bedding, and shoes, received at our two UK warehouses in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Here the items are sorted and packed ahead of shipment to Armenia.
Aid
The food and the firewood are bought locally in Armenia and given out to desperately needy families. We also get frequent requests for help for life-saving or life-changing medical treatment and operations, house rent, and help with utilities for people who are struggling to heat their homes. Poverty is accentuated in the cold when the poor must choose between putting bread on the table or keeping the temperature of their home above freezing. Winter in Armenia can be severely cold, dropping in the villages to -20°C. Distribution of wood is life-saving to poor families.
