Brooke Shields Opens Up About Her JFK Jr. Kiss After Decades Of Silence [WATCH]

Actress Brooke Shields recently made a rare public comment about her brief connection with John F. Kennedy Jr., recalling the relationship decades after the pair were linked during the 1980s, as reported by Page Six.

Shields, now 60, addressed the subject in a lighthearted TikTok video posted alongside her daughter, Rowan Henchy. The clip referenced Kennedy, the son of former President John F. Kennedy, who died in a 1999 plane crash.

The TikTok featured Shields and Henchy mouthing lyrics to the Charli XCX song “Boom Clap.” The camera initially focused on Henchy as she lip-synced while text appeared over the video, reading, “I wonder if JFK Jr. was a good kisser?”

The video then shifted to Shields, who continued lip-syncing while text over the footage read, “One of the best.” Henchy added a caption clarifying the nature of the relationship, writing, “But don’t forget … they never dated.”

The exchange prompted a reaction from viewers in the comments section.

“This is boots on the ground journalism,” one commenter wrote, while another said, “Sarah Jessica Parker also said the same thing.”

Another viewer added, “I’m so jealous rn,” while someone else commented, “Remember… You don’t have to date to kiss…..”

Shields has rarely spoken publicly about her interactions with Kennedy, who died in July 1999 when the small plane he was piloting crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. His wife, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, and her sister, Lauren Bessette, were also killed in the crash.

During the 1980s, Shields and Kennedy were briefly linked at the height of the actress’s early career. Shields previously discussed the encounter during a 2023 appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.”

In that interview, she recalled a ski outing the two shared in Aspen, Colorado, describing it as their one “real” date.

Shields told Stern that Kennedy gave her what she described as the “best kiss [she’s] ever had in [her] life.” She said the situation became complicated because she was concerned about what might happen if their relationship became more serious.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, you’re falling in love, and if you sleep with him, he may not talk to you again,’” Shields said.

“I wasn’t playing a game; I really was just so afraid of being really hurt. Because if I slept with him, I would have given him my entire universe, my heart, my everything.”

The actress also said she had admired Kennedy since early childhood.

“My mom, [Teri Shields], would say, ‘That’s the boy you’re going to marry,’” she said.

Shields recalled that after she declined Kennedy’s advances during the Aspen trip, she ended up leaving the ski chalet alone.

“I had to get a cab home, which was a little less chivalrous, in my opinion,” she said during the radio interview.

Shields said the moment revealed something about Kennedy’s behavior at the time.

“He didn’t look at me, and he didn’t talk to me,” she said. “On the one hand, I was like, ‘S–t.’ On the other hand, I was like, ‘Oh, thank God, because he still might not have talked to you, ‘ had they hooked up.

Despite that experience, Shields spoke positively about Kennedy’s personality in a biography published in 2024.

In the book “JFK Jr.: An Intimate Oral Biography,” Shields described Kennedy as a “delicious kisser.”

“He tasted like … pillow lips,” she said. “Very sweet … The lips were just ridiculous. Just full, beautiful — so edible.”

Kennedy, who founded George magazine, was linked to several prominent figures before his marriage, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Daryl Hannah, and Madonna. He married Carolyn Bessette in a private ceremony in 1996.

Shields later married screenwriter and producer Chris Henchy. The couple has two daughters, Rowan and Grier, who is 19.
