Myles Garrett, a star defensive end for the Cleveland Browns, was issued a speeding ticket for allegedly driving 100 mph early Saturday after the team squared off against the Carolina Panthers in preseason action.
Garrett, who wasn’t in uniform Friday night in the Browns‘ road victory against the Panthers, was pulled over in Strongsville, Ohio by police after allegedly hitting 100 mph in a 60 mph zone, according to a report from Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. The team had recently landed at an airport in the Cleveland area after returning home from Charlotte prior to Garrett getting pulled over. Per Cleveland.com, the 29-year-old was “presumably on his way home.”
Police gave Garrett a ticket worth $250, which he has the ability to pay to avoid court.

The Browns are aware of the situation, and per Cleveland.com, will handle it when they arrive in Philadelphia prior to their second preseason matchup taking on the Eagles.
This is the eighth time that Garrett has been given a citation for allegedly speeding around Cleveland since being drafted with the No. 1 overall pick back in 2017.
