Browns’ Shedeur Sanders Finally Got Some NFL Action — Here’s How He Did

And the Shedeur era is officially here! Well, at least for a game.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders made his highly anticipated NFL debut Sunday afternoon, entering the game for Browns starting QB Dillon Gabriel, who exited in the first half due to a concussion. (RELATED: Broncos’ Sean Payton Gets Steamrolled By Ref And Gets Penalized For His Trouble)

The rookie finally took the field in Cleveland’s matchup against the Ravens to a roaring ovation from the home fans who have been begging all campaign for him to become the starter. Despite the electric atmosphere, however, it was Baltimore who prevailed after holding on to the 23–16 victory.

Sanders inherited a six-point lead to open the second half but struggled mightily, completing only four of 16 passes for 47 yards, throwing an interception and failing to produce a single scoring drive. The rookie was sacked twice and posted a dismal 13.3 passer rating.

I understand that Shedeur Sanders has a lot of haters, that’s pretty blatant on social media, but I personally have no problem with the guy. People are laughing at him for his bad performance, but come on, it was literally his first game.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Shedeur is going to be a superstar or anything, but give the guy a break. Plus, with how humble he’s gotten and how his attitude has changed dramatically since draft night, I think he’s learned his lesson with all of the cocky stuff and is willing to put in the work.

I think people are being a bit rough on Shedeur, but that’s just me.
