Budweiser delivered a thoroughbred winner with their commercial for Super Bowl LX.

But let’s be real — the Super Bowl is far more than just the game itself. It’s one of the biggest social gatherings of the year with millions hosting watch parties, and everyone tunes in for one thing: Commercials.
Landing a top-tier Super Bowl spot can generate massive exposure for a brand, but with a reported cost of $8 million for just 30 seconds of airtime, there’s zero room for error.
Budweiser clearly got the memo and knocked it out of the park. Their “American Icons” advertisement weaves together the classic Clydesdale horse, the soaring journey of a bald eagle, and the timeless Lynyrd Skynyrd anthem “Free Bird.”

For anyone who remembers the Dylan Mulvaney debacle of 2023, the title “American Icons” is deafening.
Anheuser-Busch lost billions in market cap, the top spot in the beer aisle during their PR nightmare and their identity. It was dreadful. But with their Super Bowl LX commercial, the message is clear: their back to and sticking with their roots, something they should have never stopped doing.
With that being said, they’re still going to have a lot of lost customers still rejecting them, but hey, this is a great start to bring them back.
